    We are seeking a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic to provide support to (COSIS) Care of Supplies in Storage at Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Barstow, CA. The Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic will inspect, repair, rebuild, modify, test and adjust heavy mobile equipment and tracked combat vehicles.


    • Operates heavy mobile equipment to determine which repairs, adjustments and/or modifications are required.
    • Perform preservation actions on equipment and vehicles as described in the appropriate Technical Manual.
    • Perform Limited Technical Inspection to analyze and determine required repair time and repair cost to fix vehicles, trailers, tanks, LAV’s, Howitzers, etc.
    • Test and Prep and repair vehicles for shipment, preservation, receipt, and storage.



    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Must have a minimum of two years experience providing Heavy Mobile Equipment Repair Support to include Limited Technical Inspections.
    • Experience supporting USMC or DoD programs preferred.
    • Prior military experience is a plus.
    • Must have the ability to exhibit the utmost level of professionalism in interactions with co-workers and senior management personnel at all times.
    • Current OSHA Forklift Certification for 250,000 lb. is a plus.
    • Possess an US Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
    • Be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
