CBAIA is seeking a Supply Technician to provide support to COMNAVSURPAC Medical Warehouse in San Diego, CA.
Answer routine phone calls in the medical warehouse, ensure daily visitor log is completed, and provide guidance to Navy ships regarding medical warehouse processes and procedures, to include, packing, shipping, receiving, and issuing medical items.
Review the medical warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOP(s)) and desk guides on a quarterly basis and submit recommended changes in logistics and supply support functions to the COR.
Conduct material number to stock number cross reference for medical items using Defense Logistics WEBFLIS, One Touch Support (OTS), or DAAS (Defense Automatic Addressing System).
Electronically enter medical items into SAMS and TMIP-M.
Provide supply management and logistic services for medical assets resulting from decommissioning ships, deploying ships, or unauthorized excess.
Inspect, identify, receive, sort, assign location, stow, and issue medical material, CBR medical supplies, medical equipment, smoking cessation medications, and vaccine supplies.
Use a pallet jack or 5,000 lb. forklift when required based on weight and size of stock being staged and stocked.
Prepare DD Form 1149 documents to transfer medical materials.
Package and ship various medical materials via Department of Defense Distribution Center (DDDC) shipping to Navy ships in CONUS and overseas.
Conduct deliveries to ships at Navy Base San Diego (NBSD) utilizing a -passenger cargo van.
Ensure DD Form 1149 is complete and copies are retained by both the warehouse and ship personnel.
A High school diploma or GED certificate and a minimum of one (1) year of Supply and Asset management experience.
Experience managing medical programs to include Chemical Biological Radiation (CBR), Shelf Life Extension Program (SLEP), Expired Medication Return, Vaccine Immunization Support, Tobacco Cessation, Shipboard Equipment Replacement Program (SERP), and Medical Support Equipment (MSE).
Experience utilizing the following systems: Navy Snap Automated Medical System (SAMS), Defense Logistics WEBFLIS, One Touch Support (OTS), DAAS (Defense Automatic Addressing System), and Theater Medical Information Program (TMIP).
Possess and maintain OSHA-certified 5K Forklift Operator Certification.
Possess and maintain a valid class C driver’s license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
